Sköldpaddsmönstrade naglar med Cirque Colors – Pictorial

Trenden med sköldpaddsmönstrade naglar tog fart under hösten 2019. Jag har gjort sköldpaddsmönstrade naglar med Cirque Colors tortoise kit och tänkte bjuda på en pictorial där ni kan se hur jag har gått till väga ifall ni vill testa göra något liknande. Självklart går det bra att använda andra lack än just dessa.

Till mina sköldpaddsmönstrade naglar använde jag som sagt ett kit framtaget just i syfte att lätt kunna skapa ett snyggt sköldpaddsmönster. Kitet kommer från indiemärket Cirque Color som gör riktigt bra lack. Dessa är inget undantag. Självklart går det alldeles utmärkt att använda andra lack än dessa men du behöver jellylack som är lite skira för att det här ska fungera.

Produkter använda:

• Depend PT Grip & Protect baslack
• Cirque Color Tortoise Shell nail att set med lacken Rust, Camel och Walnut.
• Depend Fast & Dry Gel top coat

Hur jag gick till väga steg för steg

1. Börja med ditt underlack. Jag använde Depend PT Grip & Protect baslack.

2. Jag målade sedan ett tunt lager av Cirque Colors Camel.

3. När det hade torkat målade jag fläckar av Cirque Color Rust.

4. Sedan ett nytt lager av Camel.

5. Mer fläckar av Cirque Color Rust.

6. Sedan gjorde jag fläckar av Cirque Color Walnut.

7. Ett avslutande lager av Camel. (Om ni noterat att mönstret ser annorlunda ut här så beror det på att jag glömde fota de två sista stegen så jag blev tvungen att lite snabbt göra om naglarna för att kunna fota de stegen).

8. Avsluta allt med ett lager överlack. Jag använde mig av Depend Fast & Dry Gel top coat.

Hur enkelt som helst och inga redskap behövs. Allt som krävs är lite tid så lacket hinner torka mellan varje lager.

Jag tycker sköldpaddsmönstrade naglar är riktigt snyggt och att det ser riktigt proffsigt ut. Det är kul med en nageldesign som ser mer avancerade ut än den är. Det här kan verkligen alla fixa bara man har lite tid över.

The tortoiseshell nail trend took off during fall 2019. I’ve created tortoiseshell nails with Cirque Color’s tortoiseshell kit and I thought I would show you how I did them with the help of a pictorial. Here you can see how I have gone about making them if you want to try something similar.  You can of course use other nail polishes than these.

For my tortoiseshell nails I used a kit created precisely for the purpose of being able to easily create this kind of nail art.  The kit comes from the indie brand Cirque Color which makes really good nail polishes.  These are no exception.  Of course, using other nail polishes than these will work perfectly fine as well, but you’re gonna need jelly polishes which is a bit sheer for this to work.

Products used:

• Depend PT Grip & Protect base coat
• Cirque Color Tortoiseshell nail set containing the polishes Rust, Camel and Walnut.
• Depend Fast & Dry Gel top coat

How to (pics above in the Swedish text):

1. Start with your choice of base coat.  I used Depend PT Grip & Protect.
2. I then painted a thin coat of Cirque Colors in Camel.
3. When it had dried I painted irregular patches with Cirque Color in Rust.
4. Then a new coat of Camel.
5. More patches of Cirque Color in Rust.
6. Then I made patches with Cirque Color in Walnut.
7. A final coat of Camel. (if you’ve noticed that the design looks a bit different in the last two photos than that’s because I forgot to take photos of those steps so I had to re-do the design a bit fast the next day so that I could photograph them)
8. Finish everything up with a coat of top coat of your choice.  I used Depend Fast & Dry Gel top coat.

Super simple and no tools needed.  All that is required is a little time so the nail polish get time to dry between each coat.

I think tortoiseshell nails are really pretty and that it looks really professional.  It’s fun with a nail design that looks more advanced than it is.  This really can be done by anyone if you just have a little time over.
